Immersio 2022

An animated projection mapping collaboration between my wife and me for Immersio 2022 which was exhibited at Muzium Telekom. From a contemporary perspective, our goal was to challenge the boundaries of carving, or ‘mengukir,’ in line with the theme of Immersio 2022. We aimed to celebrate East Malaysia’s rich traditional and cultural identity by integrating these elements into a surrealist and modern composition, rather than merely replicating existing patterns and motifs. The symbolism within the artwork invites viewers to explore its representation of Malaysia, utilizing imagery and symbols that reflect the diverse aspects of our natural landscape.
